What we check for free
Line arithmetic
Quantity times unit price against the line total, on every line we can read.
Invoice totals
The lines plus GST against the total at the bottom. If they don't line up we show you both numbers and say we can't tell whose error it is.
ABN and GST
Valid ABN checksum, and GST that isn't more than ten per cent.
Duplicate lines
The same item billed twice on the one invoice.
What this can't tell you
Whether the rate itself is right. That needs your schedule of rates, what you paid last time, and what your other projects are paying, which is what the product does once your invoices are flowing through it. This page only sees the one document, so it sticks to what the document alone can prove.
We also don't store the file. It's held in memory, checked, and gone. To read it we pass it to Microsoft's document service in Australia, which is the same reader the product uses. Nothing is written to a database here, and no other customer ever sees your document or anything derived from it.
